WRITING -- All photographers can benefit from the ability to write about themselves and their work. This workshop is for
photographers who want to express themselves through the written word, be it for use on web sites, in print publications, or to pitch their work for exhibition. It’s also the perfect workshop for those who simply want to explore ways to articulate their photographic aspirations and accomplishments.

HELPER -- The problem with keywording is that it's a long and laborious process. It's hard to think of keywords, and it's time consuming to type them in. The Keyword Master Lightroom plugin helps to relieve these issues by providing photographers with a tool to help them gather or harvest keywords from other sources.

NEAR, time-wise — FAR, distance-wise.
Greetings Former Workshop Participants and Friends,

Torres del Paine ©Ellzey
Near The EXTREME LANDSCAPES workshop is getting close. Departs June 25. Goes to July 9.
Far It starts in the Torres del Paine region, the extreme south of Chilean Patagonia, and ends in the Atacama Desert, the driest desert in the world, in the extreme north of Chile. (Approx. 2,121 mi., 3,414 km between our shooting locations).
See workshop/safari details here: http://www.billellzey.com/pages/workshops_patagonia2.html
Jack Dykinga
Jack was to co-lead this workshop. A couple months ago he had a freak fall that boogered up his shoulder. Surgery revealed severe damage. Prognosis— no schlepping big camera gear and international baggage for several months. Bummer, to say the least. Here's his email address for those of you who know him and want to send good wishes: jack[at]dykinga[dot]com.
The Trip
As the workshop/safari title states it's extreme in many ways, though not physically demanding. First and foremost is the extremely stunning landscape of these two regions, from Patagonia's iconic massif, the Torres del Paine, to the extremely mysterious moonscapes and high altitude hot springs and geysers of the Atacama Desert. Second it's in winter (southern hemisphere ya know). It's for people who see winter's unique beauty with the bonus of photographing winter light on particularly stunning and exotic landforms.
Semi-Private
What with Jack's accident, cum absence, our number of participants accepted is reduced. It is possible that the instructor-participant ratio will be as low as 1:5 or even 1:4. This obviously means more personal attention throughout the trip.

My first experience with Salvaje Corazon hooked me for good. Professionals. Great trip organization, logistics, food, congeniality, vans, drivers, translators, hosts and Chilean ambassadors.

So come join us if you can. Yep, it's a cliché to say it but, this trip could truly be a once in a lifetime experience.
